Bengaluru: Bana Eco Works inaugurated the city’s first scientific animal-waste rendering plant at Kannur, Bengaluru East, marking a significant step in sustainable waste management.
The launch was attended by government representatives and community leaders, underscoring the importance of public–private partnerships in solving critical civic challenges.
Bana Eco Works Launches Innovative Waste-to-Value Facility in Bengaluru
The Kannur facility has been commissioned with an initial processing capacity of 20 tonnes per day, with the ability to scale up to 50 tonnes as its collection network grows.

Using advanced dry-rendering technology, the plant converts animal by-products into useful resources such as poultry meal, feather meal, and rendered oil.
The facility is also equipped with stringent odor-control systems and a dedicated effluent treatment plant (ETP), ensuring compliance with environmental standards. This approach contributes directly to public health, hygiene, and sustainability.
